Transition Effects Not Workign Properly
In some places where I want to add transition effect, it’s not allowing me to adjust the duration (it’s usually putting the duration at 00:00:00;01. In some places, it’s not allowing me to center the effect. There doesn’t seem to be any gaps. I’m stumped. Can anyone help?

You don’t have enough handle on either the incoming or outgoing video.
Try trimming 15 frames off each piece of video you are transitioning between and see if that doesn’t help.

My favorite way of explaining this to newbies is to encourage them to place their clips on top of each other and to keyframe transparency of the top layer from 0-100. This illustrates the need for handle and how they work. Once that is understood, moving the clips to the same track and applying other transitions is easy.

The other option is to use the start or end at edit in the transition dialog. This way you can use every frame you have. BUt you can dissolve what doesn’t exist.
