I know that you can have FCP search for audio peaks, however, is there a function that FCP could search for and mark excess luma and chroma? I realize you can have the range check pop up on the slug or canvas when you are scrolling through the footage or use use the scopes, but I don’t think that is the most effective way to look for excess luma and chroma. Please let me know if you guys have any tips. I am running version 6.

    Thanks,

    Nathan

    Nathan,

In the FCP “View” drop down, there are range check options – luma is ctrl + z as a shortcut, but you’ve got to go to the drop-down (Under range check option in view menu) to turn them both on.
