• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  importing MP4 to FCE

  When I import an MP4 clip into the timeline it is squeezed — vertically within wider black side bars.

  These were filmed in HD

  Any explanations / work around appreciated..

  First, MP4 is not a production format and is not properly supported for editing in FCP.

  Second, please provide exact item properties for the clips you’re using.

  Third, please provide exact item properties for the sequence you’re editing into.
