    Hello,
I am using FCP 4.5 on my old G3.
I have a very basic, silly problem.
I have three video clips, each on its own track, and for some reason, the alpha is not working. The video clip on the top track is blocking out the lower two video clips.
    Help!!!! Thanks!

not sure how you made your alpha or in what application….you could try going into the ‘Modify’ menu and changing up the alpha settings…see if that helps. If not, provide more info and I’ll try to check back. Good luck.

    Hi!
Thanks for getting back to me.
Turns out that what I did was I selected “darken” (under “composite mode”) and thus made the alpha “black”!!!
(Its been awhile since I used FCP and I am way out of practice!)
Now I am trying to remember how to “break” (or separate) the video and audio tracks in a single clip from each other. I have many layers of clips I am working with, and I have no use for most of the audio tracks.
    Thanks again! Charlie.
