    greetings – 2 questions-
question 1–I am assisting/volunteering in a local middle school broadcasting class that currently has 3 apple machines running fcp 6.0.1. the school purchased an academic version of fcs 2 in august 2008 for the broadcasting class, and it arrived with fcp v 6.0.1. Being that i am a relative novice with fcp and all things apple, i’m cautious about automatically assuming that we should update to the most recent level i.e. 6.0.5 released in december. Is this decision a no-brainer yes, or are there considerations/pro/cons?

question 2- if we want to be able to share editing project work between these three non-networked machines i.e. begin an editing project X on machine (A) located at the school but finish it on a laptop (B) located at the teachers’ home, what is the standard op procedure? (i know fcp creates project files for each project and stores them on the scratch disk, so do you simply create a copy of those project X files on macine A, then open up a new project on laptop B with the same title and place the files into the corresponding scratch disk folders and continue working, or ????

    thank you- jim b

good question, I’m in the same predicament. Is there one combined update or do you have to update individual versions/increments one at a time?
