There is a small triangular shaped button, bottom left of your timeline, click it and deselect “Show Audio/Video Clip names”

    Thanks Simon.

Is this the same submenu where we have “Show video filmstrips, Show Audio Waveforms” etc? I don’t have “Show Audio/Video Clip names” option there. Is this the right place? Running v 6.0.

The thing is that I’m editing small audio clips (footsteps) and the clip names block the waveform start.

    Thanks again!

    Hey J,

I’m running 6.04 and yeah, it’s in the menu that you just described.
I can’t remember it’s location in 6.0, but it may be under user preferences on the timeline tab. But don’t quote me on that!!
    Si.

I don’t believe the function was in 6.0. Don’t quote me on that, but I don’t think it was introduced until 6.0.2.

    All the best,

    Tom

The option is available from version 6.0.4 on, upgrading now.

    Thanks to all!
