  • getting “general error”

I have a 3 min long timeline consisting of 4 video tracks. the first track has a loop of an animated background, the second has still pics that fade in and out (about 27 pics) and the third and fourth tracks have still text i made in motion to correspond witht the pics. I go to render it out, it starts to render and says it will take an hour, then after 4 minutes or so it stops and says “general error”

    WTF?

    TIA

    A couple of things Sam…

    1) check your system settings to see if your renders have been inadvertently directed toward drives that do not exist or drives that are full.

    2) trash your prefs

    3) last but not least, open the render manager, delete the renders for that timeline and re-render.

    4) please report back and tell me if that helped
