  Confused with the Hd Video settings?

  I may be editing a film shot on this https://www.new-media.com.au/Panasonic-HVX202-DVCPRO-HD-Camera-kit-Save-1800-pr-1599.html He told me it was 1080p but it appears to be a 1080i camera. though it says 1080i/720p I don’t understand what this means. Why is the 720 ‘p’ and the 1080 ‘i’ these numbers are width and height are they not?

  Finalcut offers a bunch of options in the video settings, there is 1080i50, 1080i60, and then there is 720p24 and so on. What would I select for editing this footage and what difference does it make?

  Dude…. you need to do some basic reading…

  those numbers are the height….
  there;s a big difference between p and i

  look at the tutorials here,pick up a book…. take a look at adamwilt.com
