  External Drive question

  I have a Maxtor One Touch 1TB drive that I use to download P2 to my FCP.

  I noticed the first time I downloaded from the maxtor to the fcp that it made an icon for each card I had downloaded – and now since I still have old footage on the drive and new footage, I have about 12 seperate icons for that drive that show up on the desktop.

  So is there a way to just have one icon show up on the desktop no matter how many cards I download into it? Also, how do I erase the footage from the maxtor? I tried right clicking on the icons but it doesn’t give me any erase or reformat option. Is it as easy as dragging the clips into the trash?
