    Hi All,

    Newcomer to FCP.

I am using FCP 5.1.2 and have shot some footage on the new Canon HV20 in 1080p24 mode. Can I capture that directly from the camera via firewire or do I need a capture card since it’s 24?

I have tried many different settings, yet the picture has small video disturbances, hits, lines, etc.

I am trying to incorporate it into an existing project which was shot on HVX200, 1080p24, P2 cards, imported at DVCPRO 1080i60, reverse telecined, sequence presets, 1080p24.

    system:
    G5 Quad 2.5, 6gigs ram, 2 x 5 Burley enclosures, with 10 500 gig Seagates. 2 x 23″ Cinema Displays, Sonnet host card. No capture card.

    Thanks for your imput.

    Randy
