I imported a video from my Canon XL2 to my Mac Book Pro and it is now a .mov or quicktime file.

I added the video and an mp3 file to the sequence and on the top of the sequence, there’s a red line that is the length of the mp3 file.

When it plays, it plays a beeping noise the whole time. how do i fix this?

Red denotes unrendered elements – either video or audio or both. The beeping confirms unrendered audio. Sounds like the MP3 needs to be rendered in the timeline before proceeding.

Don’t use an MP3. Convert it to AIFF at the correct sample rate. You can do this with the QuickTime pro player, iTunes, or Compressor.

    All the best,
