  Poor Video Quality, Need Help

  I’m having some problems with the playback of standard definition video captured from the HD SR1 (sony’s HD handycam).
  After rendering, any motion in the frame shows up with jagged interlaced lines.

  I am using final cut pro 6, and unfortunately, because the computers are in my school’s library, I can’t tell you anything about the video settings at the moment. Is there a specific playback setting i should use for standard definition footage from this camera?

  To import the footage i first transfered the files to a hard drive, then used import to select the ones i wanted. Is there a better method? Footage played back on the camera looks fine.

  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
