  Speed effect woes

  When I add a speed effect of 100% but reversed, the image gets blurry, even after rendering.
  If I turn off frame blending, the motion from the camera pan looks like crap, but when the panning stops, the image is clear.

  Here’s what I’m trying to do:
  I shot a sign for a few seconds, then panned away very quickly. I want to reverse the shot so it looks like I panned to the sign very quickly. When applying the reverse speed effect, the sign is not clear after the pan.

  Am I doing something wrong?
