• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  convert 1080i to animorphic widescreen

  I am trying to get video I have recorded at 1080i-60 using a Sony HD cam to export out of Final cut at the animorphic widscreen ratio. I know that the image will be cropped. Basically, I just want that “ultra widescreen, high res” quicktime file. Exactly like the HD trailers on apple.com. Anyone have any suggestions?

  What are you exporting to? Tape or a file?

  If it’s a file, I would export it using custom settings in Compressor that will crop the top and the bottom. (just duplicate a setting that you want to use and change the crop settings)

  If you’re exporting it to tape, you’ll probably just want to put a widescreen filter on your footage.
