    Hello,

I’ve edited some video in Final Cut that will be for broadcast. Playback in Final Cut looks fine. I will then export the commercial using Quicktime Conversion.

The problem is when I watch it as a Quicktime file the video is jittery during transitions, and seems to flicker a bit…with small lines showing.

I’m not sure if my question is a Quicktime one, or perhaps I’m exporting it wrong out of Final Cut.

    Any thoughts anyone?

If the file looks fine on an external video monitor, then you will be OK. What you are describing sounds like interlacing. It can appear as jagged lines on you computer monitor, especially where there is a lot of movement.

Check it on a video monitor to be sure.

    Thanks for writing.

To answer your question…it is appearing on a TV as well when I look at it.

How do I fix the interlacing?

    Thanks for your help…
