Lowering Compression rate
Hopefully I got it right this time. Sorry i’ve posted so many times.
I am getting the “Warning-Dropped Frames” window and the only thing, on the list they suggest to change, that I can’t find is how to lower my compression rate. I have plenty of memory and my system is a G5 so it should be plenty fast. If lowering the compression rate doesn’t work, what else? I also already trashed my preferences because my sequence was acting screwy.
Plus, after I trashed my preferences, I can’t hear the audio. It’s there, I just can’t hear it.

What are the specs of the computer? What are the drives? How full are they? What format are you working in?

Are you using the drives as FireWire? Are they daisy chained to the rear FW port?

So what’s in the sequence? How many tracks or video and audio? What are you doing to them? What RT settings are you using?
You obviously can’t lower the compression setting. It’s fixed in DV.
