  final cut hd use 8 giga of ram or is wasted money

  hi,i want to know if im going to waste money if i buy 8 giga of ram for a g5 3.0 intel xeon core duo ,for work whith final cut hd ,of if i can buy 4 gigas of ram.
  How many ram use final cut hd ????
  Final cut is going to use the 8 gigas???

  Wasted money. 4 gigs of RAM is plenty.

  8GB of RAM would be good if you were running FCP, Motion and Sountrack all at once, plus Mail, Safari, After effects…

  If you are running just FCP, 4GB is about all you will need.

  Futher to this. I think the FCP app ony actually access a maximum of 2 G of RAM.

  However.

  I would venture to guess that perhaps the next version will access MORE so if the RAM is cheap, buy it now. Computers love as much RAM as you can throw at them.
