  Installing FCS w/external hard drives

  Can FCS componets such as music loops, behaviors, and templets be loaded onto an external hard drive with out causing editing and lagging isues?

  Hi,

  I can’t speak for all the FCS apps. but it will work for the apps that let you choose the destinations in the preference panel. I did a test a while back for DVDSP and it worked fine. I believe I also tried Livetype? or Soundtracks? I know in one of those apps, you couldn’t because you can’t set it in the prefs.
  So the answer is it will work for the apps that will let you change the desitination of the presets, templates, etc, but NOT for the ones that don’t. In other words, I wouldn’t try to manipulate the folders from within the OS.
