  Whats the best way to wipe something on the screen using an object?

  Hi there

  Basically ive got a carrot that flies past the screen length ways, so it reaches from the top to bottom of the screen. I want as it flies past to reveal a different scene. I know i could use a mask and keyframe it all, i was just wondering if there was an easier way of doing this that anyone knew of?

  Usually a mask is the best way to go. If you only need a simple straight/diagonal line to hide the transition try Effect>Transition>Linear Wipe

  You can use one of the wipe effects (under “transitions”) and use your flying carrot over that to hide the wipe.
