New User Basic Questions
Hello: I’ve got the latest version of FCP and am somewhat new to it. I’ve edited on Adobe Primere Pro for about five years so I’m getting used to the new system. Here are some basic questions.
1. Is there an info tool that will allow you to see how long multiple clips are when selected? In other words if I”m in the middle of my movie and I select five clips that are back to back, can see how long the TRT is just for those five clips?
1a. If you have a gap between two clips is there a way to see how many sec/minutes that gap is?
2. Is there a way to stop the timeline indicator after clicking on the timeline so that it doesn’t move OTHER than the space bar. So, if the movie is playing and I click a few seconds behind the indicator the indicator goes to the point I want BUT it continues to play. It wont stop where I click unless I hit the space bar.
3. In the ben if you have multiple photos, does it tell you if a photo is on the timeline or not? In other words can it tell you if you have used the photo or not and if you have, how many times you have it on the timeline?
The reason why I ask is because you can do all these things in Premiere Pro and they are very useful especially when you have a client/Producer sitting behind you asking questions that pretain to those types of features. For instance I had a client and the TRT of the project was about two hours. The client wanted to know how minutes a particular section was and all I had to do was select those clips and I could see the total time of just that section.
Thanks for your time.
