  Changing Speed of clips

  Another dumb question about FCE HD 3.5. When I change the speed of a clip in the timeline, FCE moves all of the later clips in relation to the length of the change in speed I just made. Is there a way to change the speed of a clip and not move the later clips in the sequence? Thanks.
