  MPeg Streamclip Audio Issue

  Round Three for MMV! I have converted the SONY Micro MV (.mmv) files to regular Mpeg2 files by using a .exe program found on the internet. I had to capture and then convert the files on a PC before I could even see the file on my Mac!

  I now have dicovered that I must again convert the files from Mpeg2 to DV using the Mpeg Streamclip conversion software. I can do this… The files are playing (Finaly) in FCP, but the audio is “Red” and wants to be rendered. I have tried to change every option in the audio setting for the sequence but can’t seem to get the audio to just play in RT!

  The only difference I see in the browser’s info is that the imported DV file is “16 bit Integer” and my sequence is “32 bit floating point”.

  Anyone have similar issues?

  I figured it out… In Mpeg Streamclip I converted the Mpegs to QT (.mov) and selected the DV/DVPro25 Codeck option. In FCP the files play without a render requirement for the audio.
