i think i need to leave iMovie and i’m thinking FCE but can i realy do it?

i have a 1 GHz G4, with 768 RAM, a NVIDIA GeForce 4MX gfx card, 64 MB RAM, and 60 G drive (though i realize i should get a separate drive for media). can i just get the software and go at it or isn’t it that easy?

or does the latest iMovie have more than 2 channels of audio?

sorry for such a simpleton question.

    thanks

The computer can run FCE easily, though more RAM would help. The only issue might be if you’re using a Canon camera to capture your material. You might need to capture to the computer’s internal drive and then move the material to the external.

BTW, iMovie can work with an unlimited number of audio tracks; you just have to lay one track on top of another, and unless you pre-adjust the levels it gets hard to control.

    All the best,

    Tom
