    Hi all,

I was just about to start working in FCE 2 and imported about 1 hour footage as one long clipp (an interview).

First the whole machine went really slow and the program either suddenly quit or got hanged. Why?

Then something got completely wrong and two of my partitions of my internal harddrive got dammaged without beeing able to get them repaired with Disc utility – one being the start up disc.

Now I am about to “clean” the whole computer and begin fom scratch, installing the system and softwares etc once again. What shall I think of so the same thing want happened again. What might I have done wrong? For storage and backing up my files, what external harddrive do you recomend me to buy?

I am working on an Imac 2 GHz Power PC G5 with 1,4 GB DDR SDRAm and Mac OSX 10.4.5. My video DV is a Canon XM2.

    Hope someone can help me!

    Thanks!

    Susanne

Make sure you update to 2.0.3.

    All the best,
