    Hi everyone

I have this movie shot in Varicam and edited in DVCPROHD 720p60, so it is in 59,94 fps.
Now I need to make the transfer for film so I need it in 24 fps.
So, what is the best method to do this?

you can just drop the higher frame rate footage into a 24 fps comp. that will drop out frames while maintaining timing.

however, it will give the effect of shooting at a rather tight shutter angle and have less motion blur than if the footage had been shot at 24 fps with a normal shutter angle.

you could try enabling frame blending (layer>frame blending>frame mix) to utilize the frames that you are dropping to help create a smoother, motion-blur-like effect. the draw back is if the movement is fairly great from frame to frame, frame mix will produce a stepped appearance rather than a smooth, motion-blur-like appearance that film/shot footage would have. so it really depends a lot on the footage.
