  • Movement doesn’t flow when animation is moved from After effects to Final cut

    Hi guys,

So, we usually put animations made in After Effects into Final cut to edit (add pauses and sound effects etc). And it is usually fine, but lately once the animation is in Final cut it looks very laggy and like it is bad quality when compared to the .mov file we get out of After Effects. It looks especially bad during moves and zooms.

Does anyone have any idea what could be happening?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you!

yes, what is the format of the media from AE?
if your animations are using “Animation” codec, then they will play back the way you describe.
it’s data rate is very big.

We solved it by exporting it at a higher frame rate from AE (50 instead of 25). We never had this problem before but this solved it so it’s all good! Thank you!
