What Sony FS700 picture profile did I use to shoot a video?
Posted by Arturo Glass on July 24, 2015 at 5:18 amIf I have the original folder of data from my memory card, is there a way for me to tell which picture profile I used to shoot on a particular day? I can’t remember which I used but want to replicate it.

July 24, 2015 at 5:47 pmI don’t think there’s anything in FCP 7 that could indicate that. Does the camera maker make an app for looking at these files, like the Media Browser?

July 24, 2015 at 7:37 pmShane, it didn’t come with any software that I recall. I wasn’t sure if there might be something hidden within the captured video that would be along the lines of a exif file on a DSLR. I’m going to check out a camera-specific message board and see if any other users of it have run into this.

July 24, 2015 at 8:43 pmIf you have access to Avid Media Composer (or even the trial) when you link to the camera footage (via AMA) you can see a wealth of information about the camera settings and the camera itself in the bin. The metadata columns are not in the default view, but if you go into the bin settings, you can turn them on so they can be displayed. Not sure how much metadata this particular camera includes, but I am working on a project now and see a huge amount with a Panasonic camera.
Other than that, I’m guessing you would have to go and use Sony’s viewing utilities,
