    Hi,

I have cropped some clips, applied motion blur to another, just basic FCP native stuff, doesn’t matter what effect i use, the problem is that when i try to render a clip, it won’t render. I’ve been editing for years, it always renders. Any ideas what could be happening? probably something really simple.
    please let me know!
    thanks

Trash your preferences. digitialrebellion.com has Preference Manager that does this for you with one button click.

Thanks Shane, your solution totally worked in solving the rendering problem!
    much appreciated!

My other issue was with h.264 clips. I know i ought to transcode them. My source clips have different frame rates (23.98 and 25) and sizes (1920×1080 and 320×240), i should probably transcode them so they are all of uniform frame rate and size? or perhaps it’s ok that the screen sizes are different?
i should transcode all to apple prores 422 right? even the low quality youtube clips? The other set of clips was shot on a canon 7d.
    ok, lemme know!
