    Hi,

I am currently grading some REDCODE footage in FCP 7. However, when I render the footage in the timeline, the colour shifts in hue. COlour matching the shots is an absolute nightmare!

    Any ideas?

    Cheers,

    Farrokh

FCP 7 doesn’t handle r3d files natively. Try using Color which is a dedicated grading tool and does handle r3d files. It also allows you to access the camera meta data and adjust iso, exposure and color temp. Redcine X Pro is a freeware program from RED that also is designed specifically to grade and convert RED codec files to ProRes for editing.
