  Layer Markers MacBook

  Hey everyone,

  Please read this whole post before responding.

  My sister just emailed me asking about keyboard shortcuts to add layer markers. I told her that on my MacBook I use fn + p, which is the equivalent of pressing the asterisk key on the number pad. She responds telling me she doesn’t have the “mini-number-pad-function buttons” on her newer MacBook. I didn’t believe her until she sent me a pic, and alas no function/asterisk key.

  Does AE8 include any work-arounds for this, or did apple blow it? Besides the AE issue, does anyone have any info regarding the decision not to include this feature any longer.

  Please help. Also I have seen the solution to edit AE’s shortcuts, but she isn’t sure where to find it.
