Is there a possibility to create some sort of hurricane of particles? The particles should look like a hurricane of sheets, like in the HP ad with Paul Teutul Sr. of Orange County Choppers (example). In my case the particles should whiffle around a live-action person.
I tried Particular Playground and Trapcode Particular. But I didn’t get the hurricane effect. Is this possible in AE, or should I use Motion or a different plugin?
    Thanks in advance!!

I’m 70% positive you can use Trapcode Particular to achieve this kind of effect, I did get it with smoke so it must be possible to change the source particle to whatever is required like the papers etc.

I don’t have Particular but you should be able to do it there.

You can get a hurricane like vortex with CC Particle Systems II, standard on AE, with Physics>Animation>Vertex, and Particle>Particle Type>Textured Squares, on a comp sized custom particle layer, say a typed paper… you need to tweak birth size to see the whole layer when they are particle.

Here is an expression driven tut from Colin that puts layers into a tornado (the second part):

If all this doesn’t work the way you want it, you could take a look at the new plug in from Trapcode called ‘Form’.
    Succes ermee
