  • Why do subtitles bounce on playback?

Posted by Noam Osband on April 4, 2014 at 3:51 am

Sometimes, if I play with subtitles, when I play them back in the canvas, they might bounce around or seem to jump from one spot to the other.

But when I export the sequence they are not doing that and instead they are static like they should be.

Why does it get a bit janky on playback? It’s annoying cause I think there is a problem and then I need to export a small movie file to discover there is not.

    Thought?

    thanks in advance,
    noam

what subtitle generator are you using?

i have noticed this with Text Up Pro.
sometimes if the underlying clip has a motion effect, the sub jumps up a few lines.

    solution is to render.

Yeah, I’m totally using that text generator.

Good to know! Thanks for the quick and useful answer!
