  deleting old fcp and installling a completely new fcp studio version 6

  Hello,
  trying to install a newly purchased fcp studio version 6. I have an old fcp already installed that I have moved to the trash can. I was waiting for the pop-up window to ask for the serial number, but I realized it was just upgrading my previously installed version of fcp. I moved my older fcp to trash and tried again, but install is still just upgrading my older fcp. How can I get the complete studio off my computer and install new version?

  Fcp version 6
  Mac OS X 10.6.8

  Dragging you old FCP to the trash doesn’t remove the associated files. Download FCS remover then run it to remove everything. Then go to system library, not the library in your home folder, go to Application support > Pro Apps. There you will find your FCP system ID, trash it. Next install your new version in the normal way.
