  Uploading spots to Hulu- questions about their specs

  Hi All- I need to send some :30 spots to Hulu and their specs ask for ProRes, CBR 15-30Mbps. But I read in the Apple documentation that ProRes is VBR and you can’t change the bitrate. Has anyone uploaded commercials for Hulu and know any better specs. They accept H.264 too but I’m having a hard time figuring out if the spot I’m making is CBR or not. Thanks!

  ProRes does not fit into those specs. You cannot adjust the bit rate for ProRes.
  Ask Hulu again what their specs need to be.

  ProRes Proxy= 36 Mbit/s
  ProRes LT = 100 Mbit/s
  ProRes 422 = 147Mbit/s
  ProRes HQ = 220 MBit/s

  On that site, do yourself a favor and download the PDF (link on the upper right of the page) instead of looking at the badly formatted web page. The PDF says ProRes HQ preferred, and properly places any bit rate info next to H.264 where it belongs.

  Save yourself the grief of trying to decipher some web designer’s idea of concatenated specs.
