  Changing source material of a clip in an edit – FCP7

  Just wondering if this is possible.

  Have an entire edit with random clips throughout. One of the tracks with various chopped clips of the same footage, was wondering if its possible to grab the exact source material and apply a few filters in After Effects then reconnect the media in FCP7 to the now altered footage?
  Hope that makes sense.

  If the new file has the same name and TC, yes.
