  • Outputting MXF and XML for cinema ad

A client has asked me to provide a 30-second commercial originally produced for television to a local cinema, which now shows video advertising on-screen before the movie. The only format requirement I’ve been given is below:

    Rolling Stock Ad format :
Ad must be in .mxf format ACCOMPANIED by the corresponding .xml file

I realize .mxf is actually a wrapper, and I think I’ve successfully used a plugin to output an XDCam video with the .mxf wrapper. But I’m lost how to generate a corresponding .xml file. This is clearly not the typical xml file that we use to output the information from an entire project. Has anyone been asked to deliver something in this specific way, and if so, how the heck did you do it?
