  • TIFF images does not match timeline (DVCPro HD 720P50 PAL)

    Hi all gurus out there,

I have a problem that I hope you can help me with.

On a 720P50 DVCPro HD timeline (960×720) I have a bunch of TIFFs that I wish to put on the timeline. However, the do not cover the canvas. Fair enough, all the TIFFs are exported from a PPT and are 1170×810 pixels in size.

After trying to scale to virtually any size that I can think of (1280×720, 960×720, 1920×1080) it still does not cover the canvas…

What am I missing here? FCP seems to “fit” the image” and sure, for sume of the sizes, I can zoom the TIFF to 100 %, covering all the canvas, but the text/graphics in the TIFF goes outside the canvas.

I’m not sure what to do? Should I change my timeline to 1280×720 ProRes (having to re-render my entire sequence) and then scale all the TIFFs to 1280×720?

Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

    Niklas

first scale your tiffs. All must be RGB 8bit, 1920×1080 size, 72 dpi. You should have no problems importing them in your 16:9 DVCPro timeline.

    cheers
