  Renders using After Effects files coming out low res

  Hello all, I have been having some trouble exporting DVCPRO HD footage from final cut with graphics. All of the graphics created in FCP look sharp on export, but the files I created in after effects (animated lower 3rds) all come out crunchy.

  I have tried every setting combination possible between FCP and AE, from matching the AE render to the DVCPRO settings, to making the FCP timeline 1920 x 1080 and stretching the footage to match. The only solution that has worked makes no sense. I can get clean text when I place a 1280x 720 render from AE scaled up 50% to match the 1080 footage. The exact same settings except with an unscaled native 1080 AE render, produces the same bad text as always. It makes no sense that a 50% scaled up render is perfectly crisp, while that that is the correct size isn’t. I don’t want to tell everyone that our standard practice is “render to 720 and scale it up in FCP”. Anyone have any idea what’s happening? Here are two images to illustrate the problem.
