Security tape footage
I’m working on a project that uses security tape footage (Intellex) and am wondering if anyone knows an effective way to convert that into something useable in FCP.

Have you tried MPEG-streamclip or handbreak?

The last time I had to work with something like this, the easiest thing was to go to the original recorder with a scan converter to get it’s output as a single stream, onto another recorder. But there has to be some product out in the forensic video world that will grab and re-assemble just the frames you want, from just the particular camera you want, out of the soup of all the others.
