  • Trouble with Log and Transfer in FCP 7.0.3

Posted by Scott Herriott on August 2, 2013 at 5:03 pm

    Hey there…

I’m running FCP 7.0.3 on an Imac running OS 10.6.8.

I’ve suddenly run into an issue while logging with Log and Transfer. I was able to get the first two hours of footage off of my 32GB SD card the other day onto my external drive, however when I wanted to log the remaining hour today FCP keeps giving me the spinning ball of death. I see that it’s recognizing the card in the Log and Transfer window, but then the spinning wheel occurs without any of the clips coming up. I’ve never had an issue like this before (logged many San Disk SD cards last year with no issues).

    Any and all help appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,
    Scott

Shot with what camera? What format?

Try trashing your preferences…that helps when things used to work, and now no longer do. PREFERENCE MANAGER from digitalrebellion.com is free, and keeps you from hunting for the three files manually. Apple uses it…so it’s good to use.

    Trashing the Preferences didn’t work…damn.

Any other suggestions appreciated. Very frustrating.

ClipWrap2 from divergentmedia.com. It works when FCP fails.
