  • Conforming HD footage to an SD edited project

Our client needed some video content for his website so we shot HD 1080/30p footage with a Sony HDV-Z7U camcorder. We used log and capture to import only select clips. We chose the import settings of DV NTSC anamorphic. We have cut three stand alone projects out of the footage. The client liked the projects so much that he has now decided to show them at his upcoming conference on a 6′ X 12′ screen in front of 300 of his best friends. He wants us to redo the three projects in HD for the conference.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to bring the same footage selects into FCP7 (in full HD this time) and then get the HD footage into our timeline to replace the SD footage with the HD footage? We essentially need to conform the HD footage to our finished SD EDL timelines? Oh I forgot to mention – he needs them by Monday. Thanks

Just Media Manage the sequence and use the MAKE OFFLINE option, choose the format you want to recapture as (HDV 1080i60), and then choose BATCH CAPTURE.
