I imported media through log and transfer from a cannon c100 in to fcp 7.0.3
Everything worked great and I cut 3 short shows from the media.
When I reopened the project a few days later half of the media was off line!
When I looked in the capture scratch the media was just gone.

When I redid the log and transfer and tried to reconnect the media from my old project file I got a warning that said
“Some attributes of one or more of the files you have chosen
do not match the attributes of the original. this may cause problems
with the sequence that are dependent on them
    the attributes differs as follows
    -media start and end

and the media re connects to the wrong in and out point than I had originally chosen.

Can anyone tell me what happened how to avoid it and how to fix my situation?

Thank you for taking the time to read this
and thank you for any help you can give!

No clue why the media vanished, but all you need to do to get it back is highlight the clips with the media offline, and hit BATCH CAPTURE. It will re-log and transfer, and like properly.
