How do I get P2 and/or DVCPro 24p 720p (960×720) footage from Final Cut Pro to play on a computer without FCP at the highest quality and in the proper aspect ratio (1280×720)? I have FCP, compressor, & MPEG Streamclip to convert the footage. It currently will only play audio or it errors. Thanks!

Convert the footage to ProRes 422, 1280×1080. Use Compressor or MPEG STREAMCLIP to do this.

ProRes422 will work on a PC with quicktime 7 installed. If this is a final master that you just want to play on most computers then converting the finished master to H264 (1280 x 720) will mean it should play on most computers, even if quicktime isn’t installed.

H264 is a pretty universal codec for most computers these days.
