    Hi

I’ve been given footage shot with two different camera’s, though I will be editing them into one sequence.

I realise I can render in FCP so that either will play in the others sequence set up, but wondered if there is a quicker way to convert, and if so which way (1440 footage to 1024 or vice versa)?

    The files are:

    HDV / 1440×1080 50i / 25fps (originally MTS files converting using ClipWrap)

    and

    H264 / 1024×576 / 25fps

    Thanks as always,

Well, FCP 7 can edit the HDV all right natively, but it cannot do that for H.264, so for speed’s sake, I would convert the h.264 to match your other HDV camera, or make a sequence in pro res and convert both cameras to that.

Ah, excellent. Thank you very much for your reply, just wanted to be sure which way to go with it all.
