Apple Compressor
Posted by Fernando Zuniga on January 30, 2013 at 3:13 pmHello
I would like to know how to get rid of these lines (around the edges): they show mainly where there’s movement happening in the image.

January 30, 2013 at 3:40 pmClick on the drop down menu box on the top of the Canvas…the right most one, that has a box icon. Click on that and deselect SHOW OVERLAYS.
Those are the TV safe and Title safe guides.

January 30, 2013 at 3:52 pmThanks Shane, but what about when the project goes to compressor what settings do I need to change, cause before I didn’t change nothing, when I put the movie on my new Samsung LED I saw lots of jagged lines, I mean the quality was poor.

January 30, 2013 at 3:54 pmThanks Shane, but what about when the project goes to compressor, the movie looks like 3D movie with out the 3D glasses.

January 30, 2013 at 3:58 pmOH…sorry.
Well, I see those sequence settings, but what are your clip settings? What codec are you dealing with? Did you have to render that when you added it to the sequence?
And you don’t say anything about what settings in compressor you are using.

January 30, 2013 at 4:25 pmYour footage. What camera was the source footage shot on? How was it captured? To what codec? Your captured media are CLIPS, so what are your CLIP settings? Do they match the sequence settings?
Right click on a clip in the timeline and choose ITEM PROPERTIES. Or look in the Browser under COMPRESSOR

January 30, 2013 at 4:44 pmYOu shot 1080i60? So your footage is interlaced?
Hmmmm…well, your sequence settings, while they say 1080p30, still say UPPER FIELD in dominance. Switch that to NONE and see what happens. You will have to re-render.

January 30, 2013 at 6:42 pmHey Shane, still rendering, now, what do you recommend, should I export via compressor or as a QT file and what presets, or what settings should I change on the compressor ? Thanks.
