For making a DVD, I always export a self contained QT file, using the sequence settings. Take that into Compressor, use the DVD BEST QUALITY preset…and take the result into DVD Studio pro for authoring.

Hey Shane should I move anything on the interlaced in Compressor?

Well, if your footage isn’t interlaced (is the source footage interlaced?) then you shouldn’t need to deinterlace in Compressor. Heck, even making that sequence setting should have gotten rid of it.

Try doing nothing about it in Compressor…see what happens.

Hey Shane ur advice work!! thanks a million.
Just 1 question, on Compressor should I leave everything alone in frame control ?

Yes. Unless you are changing frame rates or frame sizes…leave that alone.

Hey Shane, the project that I compress is done, but the HDV quality is not there, how do I compress it and burn it , to keep the HD quality.? Thanks.

Ah. For that you need to author a BluRay disc. DVDs are SD only. So now you need a BluRay burner, BluRay software like Roxio Toast or Adobe Encore. And then a BluRay player to watch it on.
