Timecode & subtitles
How can I create a QT that has subtitles and embed the timecode without obscuring the subtitles? (i.e. have the timecode displayed in upper right corner, etc.)

You can put the subtitles and the Time Code wherever you want.
Use the “cCenter” in the TC Generator filter.

Subtitle where you want. Then adding timecode…are you going to go through Compressor for this? It’s best to do it there. Otherwise you need to either nest your sequence, or export it and bring it back in and THEN add the timecode reader. It’s faster and easier with Compressor.

I ended up making a slug the length of the timeline and putting the timecode on it and moving it to the upper right corner. It works, as it is strictly for reference. Thank you for the suggestions.

So much quicker and easier in Compressor.
