  Is it possible to install Final Cut 7 on new Mac Book Pro using only upgrade disc?

  I recently bought a new mac book. My old mac book is from 2006. That’s when I bought Final Cut 5. A few years ago I bought the upgrade disc for final cut 7. I have since lost the final cut 5 original disc and the final cut 7 upgrade disc wont install without it. Is there any way to get Final Cut 7 onto my new machine using only the upgrade disc?

  Sadly without the license number from your Final Cut 5 disks this is not possible. Can the migration assistant help ? Never used that App but worth a go.
  A huge long shot – do you have a back-up of your old macbook with just the Final Cut 5 installation ? If so the number you need is on the splash screen.
