the text does not look smooth. Looks pixelated even at %100.
I see demo reels with perfectly smooth text.
I use after effects text. Do I need to use a outside program for text?
Is it because my composition is dv ntsc and not square so it looks pixelated on my computer monitor?

    Thanks in advance.

First of all make sure you’re using a smooth font. 🙂
If you are then make sure your layer is set to best quality and your composition window is set to full resolution.

If you have pixel aspect correction on, then the type will look awfull on the screen, but it will look ok when you export it to a tape.

I figured it out. Anyone who searches this topic, ensure you are set for dv-ntsc 4:3. More importantly make sure you field render(lower first for ntsc).
