  Photoshop to FCP graphic pixelation

  Hello,

  I’m having a problem with pixelation occurring with transferring images from photoshop into FCP.

  It seems to only affect the smaller graphics.

  Attached are two screengrabs of how it looks in photoshop and how it looks in FCP.

  The specs in photoshop are RGB, 8 Bit, 1024×576, D1/DV PAL (widescreen) And I’m saving the file as an uncompressed flat TIFF.

  Specs in FCP are Uncompressed 10 bit, PAL CCIR 601 720×576 (anamorphic), upper interlaced, 25 frames

  Any help at all will be appreciated.

  That may be just a preview issue.
  Set FC canvas at 100% and have a look on how to look the graphic once has been exported.

  Thanks Rafael.

  Unfortunately it’s still comes out dodgy, but I feel it’s just how FCP is reading the footage.

  The graphics are quite small and the colours are not safe for broadcast.

  I ended up putting the supers through after effects, putting a slight colour mask behind some of the graphics, and enlarging them all.

  FCP can now read them better than before.
